Artist's description:

The Basque came in droves to the American west in the 1880's. Even today you can see their shepherd's wagons during the summer months in the high valleys and passes of the west. A very common sight when I am out in the field. This original oil painting typifies a high mountain sheep pasture.

Materials used:

canvas, oil
