Original artwork description:

12 x 16" oil on box canvas (deep sided) portrait of a Long Eared Owl. The canvas has an original portrait of an owl in oil paints. A layer of resin is then applied and an acrylic wash partially painted over. Another layer of resin is applied and a layer of 3D neon acrylic circles applied. When dry more acrylic is painted onto the top of the circles.

Resin artworks are original oils on canvas board, embellished with pressed flowers or gold/silver and then a final layer (or two) of resin is applied. Coloured resin is sometimes also applied for a further 3d effect or to highlight the motion of the animals hair. Some un-resined work can have resin applied - please contact me to discuss.

This work does not require framing and can be hung straightaway. The sides have been painted to match the front and have the pattern of the acrylic flowing down the sides.
