Artist's description:

Painted on location (Plein Air) in the beautiful Langdale Valley, Lake District. This study of the Langdale Pikes, Pavey Ark, Harrison Stickle and Pike of Stickle, looks at the quality of colour and light during a warm summer evening along the valley corridor. My focus was to capture the drama and excitement of this iconic place as to me it’s the quintessential Lakeland view. I spent a large amount of time here, painting, climbing and walking so to me this area is home; and its with great excitement that I can share my emotional response to such a beautiful area with paint. It took 7 repeated trips to complete the study, by scraping away the newest capture and repainting.

This work is framed using my bespoke custom made moulding and is hand finished.
