Based on the works of Francis Bacon, the figure sits in a space that seem at first to be 3 dimensional. But the lack of perspective lines, and the placement of the figure, right on top of the line, gives the piece a tension where the viewer cannot be sure if the figure where the figure is in relation to the space.
