This photograph is handprinted on Ilford multigrade fibrebase glossy paper. It is printed by me in my darkroom. It requires a sequence of dogding and burning to arrive at the expressive image I originally saw at the time of exposure.
The location of this photograph is a small village called Hasaköy, about 50km SE of Nevşehir, the main centre of Cappadocia. This particular church was built around the mid 1800's and has remained relativily unused since the 1920's.
