Artist's description:

Abstract painting about mountains, where you can see the underlying structure built in charcoal.
This is painted in shades of ocher, yellow, a pale blue and deep brown, with acrylics on paper.

Around the year 2000 along with some artists, we used to go to the mountains to paint "en plein air" landscape, using only watercolors. We spent the day to produce countless studies, that then everyone was using as a draft according to its needs.

What you see is one of these watercolors, which refers to the mountainous landscape of the place where I live: Piedmont, Italy.
This period spent painting the mountain landscape has been very important to me, and laid the foundation for a subsequent point in my art where I experienced the abstraction of the landscape itself.
I love to explore the outside world with a deep look and see how it is modulated in my mind through the language of painting.
