Original artwork description:

This mixed media artwork of a succulent string of pearls plant in a hanging basket is a combination of photography, collage and paper weaving. Starting with a set of photographic images these were combined to create an abstract background which was printed onto acid free paper and mounted onto board. The hanging basket was was made from strips of woven paper and then painted circles of punch paper collaged to form the succulent.
This work was created to demonstrate how photography can be used in the art making process and doesn't necessary have to be a photo as the finished piece.
