These beautiful birches were part of a stand on the side of a mountain in the Crowsnest Pass. The wind is so strong and regular here that the windfarms have multiplied like jackrabbits. Like the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the trees have been pulled and shifted by their environment. They owe their gnarly beauty to the daily dance with the forces of Nature.
