Artist's description:

A mountian-backed Spanish plaza based roughly on a town on La Palma, Canary islands. The Streets series grew out of my travels and photos I take with painting compositions in mind. Wherever I go I like to record the perspectives seen and the one-point perspectives of streets just always draw me in. I love the diversity of atmospheres and yet the reassuring sameness of inhabited streets: encounters with people, products for sale, foods to enjoy, something new around every corner… These small panel paintings are done in acrylic with acrylic pens to give them a nice detailing and sharpness. I like to explore colour contrasts and harmonies while playing with the composition to make a 'new' place that is evocative of the place that inspired it.
