Original artwork description:

this painting explores the intricate forms of an imaginary ecosystem, twisting, undulating and suspended together in an unspecified environment. I attempted to create imagery which is perhaps familiar and evocative of existing natural forms, and yet at the same time exotic or alien.

I am interested in the creation of atmosphere and feeling through purely abstract means, and combine influences from modernist abstraction through to Japanese woodcuts and scientific drawings.
