Original artwork description:
For a decade of my life I was living in Rome, where I had a large studio just behind one of Rome's beautiful parks called Villa Ada. I would often go for walks there to take a break from my other painting projects and occasionally I would sketch either with pencil or in this case I took my oils with me to capture the energy of the place. These are stone pines, which are very present in the city of Rome, and for me really bring back my memories of the underlying feeling that Rome gave me.
