St.Isaac’s Cathedral locates in the city center near Admiralty. Cathedral was built between 1818 and 1858 as the cathedral of Russian Orthodox Church by young French architect Montferrand. The temple became the city's main cathedral where the grand celebrations, impressive divine services and christenings of the members of the royal family were held.
