Artist's description:

Original, textured oil painting on gallery wrapped canvas with sides painted black and hanging wire attached to the back.

The title of this painting is derived from "Evangeline A Tale of Acadie" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow: "Still stands the forest primeval; but far away from its shadow, Side by side, in their nameless graves, the lovers are sleeping."

This abstract piece conjures images of being high up in the canopy of an ancient forest.
