Flowers and glass are some of my favourites things to paint in watercolour. The medium lends itself so perfectly to both - translucence for glass and softness for petals. I like the way the Japanese kerchief with the autumn leaf design shines through the glass. The colour of the red azalea is in perfect harmony with the cloth, whereas the cobalt blue glass provides a strong contrast in colour and texture.
