Original artwork description:

This still life was based on a photo taken from a restaurant when I was traveling in Greece, on the island of Santorini. A beautiful, magical place.

It's one of my first experiments with mad colours, and also is a mixed media painting: acrylic paint on the base and pastel over the top. It's on unstretched canvas mounted to board, with it's own custom built frame, as part of a series I called "rough around the edges." I wanted to show the edges that are normally wrapped around stretcher bars in my work.
