Artist's description:

This work was produced as one of a series of works for my solo exhibition in collaboration with an English poet Gary Boswell, "'I wandered...' A celebration of the 200th anniversary of the publication of William Wordsworth's 'Daffodil' poem" at Rydal Mount in 2015.

On the theme of "daffodils", I kept in mind how to come close to the daily life of the poet through a series of works. As to this work, these small daffodils planted in the pot could be the only type Wordsworth could see in his lifetime. Regarding the composition of which I dared to place the pot at the edge of the table, I followed the concept of still life tradition, which indicates allegorically fragility and frailty of life. Hence the title "Still".
