Stalled, Original Mixed Media Collage/Painting
This horse stall turned garage turned abandoned building drew my attention while searching for mills one day. One of those building in disrepair that has so much potential. This original piece of artwork was created using mixed media techniques including acrylic paints, pens, pastels and layers of vintage documents with my photography. It's rustic, yet at the same time, soft and beautiful.
• artwork is 9" x 12" (28cm x 23cm) on 7/8" cradled wood
• nested in a natural wood floating frame that measures 10"x13"x1.5"
• artwork signed, backside titled/signed with artist info
• sealed with UV protective matte varnish
• wired and ready to hang
Room views may not be to scale and colors may vary from monitor to monitor.
Inspired by my passion for travel and nature, my photography marries beautifully with mixed media techniques including acrylic paints, inks and collage. Each piece tells a unique story through the quiet scenes captured, the vintage ephemera incorporated and the touches of paint that when combined creates a new piece that is greater than the sum of its parts.
My work is nature inspired, travel inspired, vintage inspired. I create art that speaks to wide open spaces, quiet places and simpler times.
