This pastel drawing is of a fox wandering through the undergrowth, perhaps looking for some prey or stalking something tasty.
I have loved foxes for a long time and I have wanted to draw one for just as long. So when I came across the wonderful reference photo by Karen Fulbrook I was hooked by inspiration!
This work has been completed using pastels and pastel pencils and is around 15 hours in the making - a real labour of love.
It is framed in a hand made custom oak frame with a forest green mount and hidden floating mount so that any loose pigment will simply fall behind the picture.
The picture will be supplied with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist (me!)
I have also created a short run of 50 limited edition giclee prints which can be purchased from me directly via www.facebook.com/clareabbottartist
