Original artwork description:

I think now each of us has heard about ecological problems. Not so long ago there were fires in Siberia, this tragedy had a great influence on me. I began to delve deeper into this subject, to study in more detail the impact of the ecological crisis on animals. I watched a lot of videos, read articles about fires in Australia, the disaster in Kamchatka, melting glaciers, huge landfills of plastic in the Pacific Ocean. Greenpeace has become my best friend. So I decided to watch the North and South Pole for a bit, and penguins caught my attention. What love and care a penguin mother gives to her child. This is something so real and pure, it's really hard to put into words. They fascinate. The deeper I delved into this topic, the more I realized how similar they are to us, or how we are alike. Thus, the idea of my work has changed, this inspired me to create a series in which I was able to express the feelings, emotions, characters of people through animals. For me, this is an opportunity to humanize animals, an opportunity to show that they are the same as us, they share the same feelings, emotions, I would even say they are more honest than we are. For example, once I was sitting near a lake and saw a couple of ducks: they were swimming so funny one after another, chipping feathers, quacking so that it seemed they were grumbling a little at each other. And then I imagined an elderly couple. I thought about other animals and associations with them. For example, a chicken is a symbol of hard work, and a monkey is cheerfulness and fun. I associate a bull with determination and obstinacy, a horse with unbridled energy. For me, my animals are people among us. What defines us? Dreams? Aspirations? Errors? Family? How to understand who we really are? It is impossible to get a definite answer. We ourselves are from unique pieces of the puzzle: from happiness and pain, from the past and the future, of victories and losses. If you throw out at least one, the picture will not be complete. All this makes our life special, and us who we are. In my works, I wanted to reflect the concept. All my animals consist of puzzles, each of them is unique, and together they form a harmonious picture.
