This is very immediate painting with the translucency of the paint in some areas highlighting the rough heavily worked areas where the greatest motion is present. It's beautiful but fierce in Northumberland and nature is never more visibly sculpted by the weather.
Here we have a sunny bright golden day with the looming clouds clearly visible in the distant yet very present horizon.
