While working on the self portrait, I understood that I would like to get deeper into my weaknesses and negative parts of myself, which I subconsciously reveal in my paintings anyway. So, a number of future artworks will be devoted to the acceptance of some negative side of my own personality. And the series itself will be called Self-Acceptance. All in all, I use such toy alike images to those negative traits to show that they can be easily tackled and accepted.
The largest painting of this series is a lounging bear sitting surrounded by pillows to guarantee the supercomfort. It could be laziness but there is another sense. I don’t see myself 100% spoiled child but I am not prone to tolerate discomfort, to wait till it gets better. Sometimes it makes it difficult for me to live in this world, because when I feel like suffering I just quit and look for another way. And if I probably had stayed, I could have achieved something significant. I see it as spoiledness of mine in some ways.
