Splash series is an image of an ideal summer. In my works I try to capture these fleeting moments filled with energy, a scene of carelessness and joy, and there I try to extend this period.
Beautiful, modern, spectacular girls - this, of course is an idealised image, but the models were quite specific - sisters and girlfriends, people close and important. Some of the works are also selfportraits but I deliberately hide the faces. They are not one person, they are all of us. This makes the work universal so that everyone could associate themselves with my paintings. Instagram sashasokolovaartist
