Artist's description:

This is a painting of the most iconic, and photogenic aircraft ever. The youngsters of today don't appear to know much about the World Wars, but most of them still recognise the unique outline of the Spitfire. Some of them can even recognise the glorious sound of the Merlin engine that powered them. This is a Mk VIII variant, produced in 1944. The details are from a photograph by John M Dibbs BNPS.

Materials used:

Acrylic on canvas
