Many different opinions have been given on this work: patterns on the sand when the tide goes out, a maritime map or bags of coloured sugar to name but a few. It's actually my favourite painting because I love the intense yet gentle colours, especially with the gold and deep purple chiyogami paper. It's a relaxing image that would look great in a bedroom, a quiet room or a study.
The title comes from an album by rock band Hawkwind whose music inspired the painting. Created on linen canvas using bright acrylic paints, Japanese chiyogami paper and rich, acrylic paints, this work is fitted with D-rings and ready to hang.
All purchases come with a gifted hand-made card or colourful postcard (depending on current availability).
