The is the most beautiful desert I've ever seen. The saguaro start popping up in southeast Arizona, and the desert suddenly has this whimsical, surreal look. Some of the saguaro have one or two arms; others, especially the oldest, have lots of arms. The colors are subtle...tints of blue, green, orange, yellow, red. When the cacti are blooming, the desert is really colorful.
Every winter, I crave the desert, especially this one.
