Artist's description:

Oil on canvas 30 x 30 cm x 4 cm
Deep-edge canvas with dark painted edges.

This painting was inspired by a darkly lit scene from a French crime drama; the title relates to the dialogue from the scene. The image has been cropped and presented out of context – it is not intended as a specific portrait painting but more as a re-interpretation of a scene .
My work exploits the conventions of cinematography by using close-ups, heavy cropping and saturated colour or strong lighting to create atmosphere; added to this is a gestural paint technique giving movement and immediacy to the image.

This painting is shipped stretched and ready to hang with fixtures on the back of the stretcher. It is signed on the back of the canvas. Paintings are securely packaged and shipped with a tracking number.

The artist has shipped work to collectors in the UK, Europe, USA and Australia.
