Artwork description:

The first in a series of images about aloneness and, in this instance, a single persons relationship with a community which purportedly we are all so good at these days.
This is a four colour linocut print but only the black outline is carved. printed on fabulous 84 gsm Awagami Masa paper with luscious Cranfield Safe Wash relief inks. The yellow hive represents the honey within. The life size European Honey bee is silk screen printed in black. I wanted to represent the bee as precious, like a jewel, hence the gold foil. This is a very limited edition of only 7, signed and numbered on the front.

Materials used:

84 gsm Awagami Masa paper, Cranfield Safe Wash Relief inks, Silkscreen ink
