The concrete of Detroit's city streets never cooled down from the previous day's summer heat. The traffic noise begins at dawn as people join the rush hour hurry to get to work on time. But for the fortunate few with a day off, Belle Isle offers a cool, soft breeze and the laughing sound of water flowing in the James Scott Memorial Fountain. The lions and sea creatures are bathed in the pink glow of the rising sun, with clouds overhead promising a light shower to cool the warm earth below.
This 8X10 photograph is printed on metallic paper to give it a subtle glow. It is matted with a 11X14 high quality archival mat and an archival foam board backing.
