Artist's description:

"So Black he's Blue," was the childhood saying I remember. Well I traveled to India and was introduced to their many gods. Krishna was my inspiration with this series. As an Avatar he created many and from there I connected the saying and Krishna to the beginning of humankind. This is definitely a conceptual piece about the Black woman as Avatar to humankind. Therefore she is depicted in many traditional costumes form various parts of the world. This is an ongoing series that has 6 different images connected to it.
