Original artwork description:

This piece is the final one in the semi-abstract 'peace' series of restful figure sculptures carved in stone. I made this piece from Ancaster Hardwhite stone and finished it with waterseal so it is suitable for outdoors. This sculpture also focuses on the head and hands. It was completely handcarved with chisels, rasps and files, followed by sanding before watersealing.

This sculpture is on exhibition in Guernsey at the moment.

Materials used:

Limestone
