Original artwork description:

First of the year. It's been a long time since I uploaded new work. This piece was the last painting started at our "brick and mortar" gallery in Oct. of 2016 and was finished as the first painting in our new location during Jan. of 2017.

At the time I painted this - there was no beauty or color in my life. All grays and dreary. After a seven week sabbatical at St. John's University, Collegeville, MN. Color started to come back into my life. I owe all of this to St. John's - it's a calm, quite, place to gather your thoughts and readjust. The works I painted after this one will show the progression of color and life coming back.
