This is a small but lovely framed oil painting painted on oil paper with a cream double mount and finished off with a brown quality frame.
The painting is of a shingle beach not too far from where I live that is famously know for its great tragedy where many American soldiers lost there lives there in WW2.
This beach has been through many a storm but has also brought much happiness to so many people over the years, my children play there whilst my husband fishes its sea,
I take in the beauty but at the same time hold the upmost respect for the great loss of life that occurred here over 70 years ago. Slapton Beach South hams Devon England.
I sign my name C Mottershead this being my career and maiden name.
