Artist's description:

Sometimes I go trigger happy with my camera in public places. Such is the case when I am sometimes at Jatujak market in Bangkok. Said to be the largest outdoor market in the world…. so a good place to get some crowd photos. These then become my reference for compositions such as this one.
My focus here is on the body language, and the contrast with the background as an entirely different activity, namely a sewing place or clothing shop, reflects well the nature of this market.
The paper I use is a traditional paper handmade from Thailand. Mulberry leaves are used there to feed the silkworm in the silk industry, the sticks used to make the paper. The resulting paper is a thick parchment typepaper, strong yet pliable. I have the paper made to this size to get the deckled edges which adds to the textural effect. The close up picture is of higher resolution to be able to get a feel for the texture and brush strokes of the painting. 3rd picture has me holding the painting for perspective.
