My oil painting to celebrate International Woman's Day.
#wearenotobjects. . In China women wear “facekinis” on the beach to protect themselves from sunburn and jellyfish stings. I was inspired to transpose these masks to Western women. These “facekinis” are about liberating women from the critical male gaze and turning that critical gaze back onto the viewer.
