Another of set of paintings, Signals Number 1 and Signals Number 2 were started in the beginning of August and both were completed on August 30, 2015. They investigate abstract signals and signage, traffic, movement, tracks, color juxtaposition, rhythm, patterns and the grid. Signals Number 1 was exhibited in a group show called Inspire/Chapter Two at the HUE Gallery of Contemporary Art in Wichita, Kansas from July to Sept 2016. Influences include Ad Reinhardt, Sol LeWitt, Donald Judd and Ellsworth Kelly to name a few. This painting is a diptych, composed of two 24" x 18" canvases, making the overall painting 24" X 36". The borders are painted white so there is no need for a frame. Ready to hang. Signed, dated and titled on the back.
