Original artwork description:

Shiva is always my favorite god to paint. Through this painting I wanted to bring the dynamic attributes of Lord Shiva through his dance. Impressionistic effect brought out with the palette knife and the peaceful mind to create this wonderful piece of work. I personally love the colors and texture it has.
Signed on the front and comes with the Certificate of Authenticity.

Lord Shiva in Hinduism is the God of Destruction, Creation & Regeneration. He has a 3rd eye on his forehead, the serpent around his neck, the crescent moon on his head & the holy river Ganga flowing from his matted hair; trishula is his weapon. He is also worshipped in the form of Linga as shown in the painting on the right bottom corner adorned with flowers & garland. The temples have the pot over the Lingam preserving it as River Ganga, which makes droplets on the Linga. He is depicted as an omniscient Yogi who lives an ascetic life on Mount Kailash. His wife is Parvati and has 2 children, Lord Ganesha who bears an elephant head and Lord Muruga.
The dance shown here is Ananthatandavam, which is a dance of joy by Lord Shiva.

Materials used:
