A solitary perfect shell, found on a beach when I was very young fascinated me. I then learnt that a creature had originally lived inside the shell, so this opened up a whole new world to me. I found out that the shell was home to the hermit crab, but it was originally the shell of a mollusc, who had died. The hermit crab needs a shell to survive, so this is nature recycling at it's very best. I am emphasising here, the importance of things left behind, which may be worth the world to some, at a later time.
