Original artwork description:
My fascination of sharks inspired this piece of a Reef Shark. It is done using colour pencils and is 17 x 10 inches in size (currently unframed). I loved experimenting with the background for this one and really wanted to capture the sun breaking through the surface of the water onto this majestic creature.
It saddens me to know that Sharks are still under massive threat and that the barbaric trade of finning is still ongoing, with 100 million Sharks being killed for this reason each year. I hope this artwork allows the viewer to see what beautiful animals they are.
The pencils used for this piece are of the highest quality, and are lightfast meaning they will not fade or alter in colour.

Faber Castell Polychromo Pencil, Luminance Pencils, Derwent Lightfast Pencils, Fabriano Artistico Paper
