An original handmade linocut print of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre beside the Thames in Bankside, London.
This is an edition of 50. Printed with oil based inks on acid-free paper by rubbing the back of the paper with a baren and a wooden spoon!
The image is just under A4 in size and is signed and editioned in pencil at the bottom by me, the artist. It comes ready mounted with a backing board so all you need to do is frame it and hang it on your wall. It will fit a standard 12" x 16" frame (30cm x 41cm - roughly A3).
I love the Shakespeare's Globe theatre and remember going there several times during its first season after opening. During a memorable production of Henry V, the weather joined in and there was real thunder and lightning during the battle scenes!
