The Senbon Torii in Kyoto is a famous shrine consisting of thousands of red torii (gates) that wind their way up through the hills. On a rainy spring visit I decided to shoot in black and white using a 35mm Leica and Kodak Tri-X film. There's something still so magical about using traditional film that makes the final image simply sing with delight.
