The painting is a study of the artist nude and formed a series of studies exploring the Adam and Eve tale through the artist and his girlfriend at the time (1999). This study explores the expressive nature of applying paint on a surface, using a variety of colours to explore their relationship with one another.
The brush marks are bold and investigated was of showing feeling through the marks as well as looking at the composition of the work for the final painting.

This painting also reveals the influences of the artist coming from those artists he most admires including: Van Gogh, Francis Bacon, Lucien freud and Edvard Munch.
