This painting is a self portrait of the artist standing in an area near to where she lives.
It depicts the artist standing at the side of a stream that runs through woods. Her gaze is to the right of the painting, holding a tree as though in an act of remembering.
It is a Memento Mori, a documentation of a remembered walk.
