Artist's description:

This image is from my "Another Day Off" series, the series was inspired by the 1974 posthumously published book "A Day Off" by Tony Ray Jones. I wanted to explore how the English use recreational time now and discover if or how the Americanization of England that Ray Jones feared effected the leisure time culture of England. The project was shot digitally, I revisited some of the original locations of the Ray Jones work although I tried not to follow it slavishly as I was seeking a more generic feel, I also shot a number of images on the holiday island of Majorca as this has become a Mecca for the the "English" seaside holiday
This moment resonates with me as I get older, my ego believes I am superman but my mirror reminds me that I am not !
