In Costa Rica on Zancudo Beach I found a host of sprouting coconuts. They simply fall from the tree and sprout, ready to make a whole new forest. I couldn't resist painting their beautiful struggle, the contrast between the dry shell with the green of new life. I did a series of six paintings. This is number five. It is matted and ready for a frame.
