I painted this small watercolour from a window of a house in Bonchurch. The bluebells I had picked in woodland on the Downs behind the village. I loved the contrast of their deep blue against the green blue of the sea beyond. I liked the shape of the vase and it's delicate glaze. I chose the marigold for the bright orange complimentary colour. I enjoy painting lace and the geometric patterns of shells.
