During a short vacation this spring at the seaside, I discovered that that the thistles along the shore make beautiful, exquisite flowers. I never knew that, as I always took my seaside holydays in summer.
I found myself so enchanted by their beauty and complexity (as flowers), that I took several photos of them, and made two oil paintings, which I also like very much.
Scattered among them there were also lot of poppies, making the hole landscape even more splendid.
This is one of the sketches I made there, with watercolors on special paper.
