I have been working on a series of quirky, romantic paintings featuring animals that mate for life, originally as ideas for greetings card illustrations but now developed into paintings in their own right.
"Seahorses" is a fun, contemporary painting celebrating love and romance, I have used several layers of colour in this painting, finishing with some wonderful iridescent silver/blue paint from one of my favourite paint companies, Daniel Smith. The painting will appear to subtly change colour and shimmer depending on where you stand. Hopefully this is illustrated in the close up photo.
The music dates from the 1800s and is wonderfully aged with soft yellowy buff tones .
(The main photo shows the colour of the paper best, the scan of the artwork, whilst great for detail and shows the painting clearly, has picked up the paper colour as grey/pink. It's an ongoing scanning problem...)
Mounted in a soft white textured mount that will fit a 12" x 12" frame.
Your painting will be presented in a cellophane gift bag and gift wrapped, ready to give, or keep!
