A detailed study of seagulls flying down to collect food put out for them on a sea wall .
The shape of the wings as they descend is studied and the birds arranged to form a pleasing group . The background is the Solent and the fields of Mainland Britain in the distance.
I used to watch this view from a window over morning coffee everyday, then took 36 photographs of the birds in different poses before arranging them for this painting. It is hanging in my room at home now since 2010 but I have just decided to put it up for sale.
