Original artwork description:
I got the inspiration for this collage from Denmark. There are often old fishing net poles dotted about along the beaches and invariably there is always a seagull perched on them! I love seagulls and the sea side so it was great fun making this collage.
I have used mixed textiles, some pure wool, jewellery beads and gouache for details.
The collage is backed with a heavy white cotton. It has a channel at the top with a dowel with hooks so it is ready to hang. It could also be framed if that was preferable.
The collage is initialled on the front and signed on the back.
