The two young ladies in the painting are my nieces enjoying a bright day in the beach. The picture wants to show those moments of summer holidays when time goes slowly, without worries. I have used a traditional tile decoration as background, since my last vacations where in Mediterranean countries where this kind of decoration is quite typical. I find tiles very inspiring, so I wanted to add them to my paintings, and this way, add a surrealist touch.
